My Story

Growing up in the midwest, you had to scrape me off of the tv every night before bed because I'd be glued to the screen as soon as I got home from school. I spent a lot of time with my own imagination as a kid, building worlds and stories in my head while swinging pretend swords at my sister. Most of that time was spent in front of cartoons or videogames, both of which inspired the trajectory of my college experience.  I've studied and worked in game design, animation, illustration, and even a little bit of graphic design, and it's all culminated in the upcoming "Space Cadets" pilot, which will premiere in the spring of 2025! You can find out more about Space Cadets... well... here!

Artist Statement : From start to finish, graphite to graphics software, I push as much comedy, color, and life into my characters as possible. Every one of them reveals a bit of my personality to share with you, like a bizarre “I Spy” of my inner thoughts. Finding that perfect mix of simplicity, expression, humor, and movement is what makes cartoons so special. Many of the characters you'll find in my portfolio are fantastical caricatures of things you might recognize, like trolls, goblins, and even condiments you’d find in your fridge. Others are based on bizarre rituals from other countries and well-known sci-fi films, but they all collided in the particle accelerator of my imagination.

Movement is everything. My subject matter is the nature of motion and how it describes the human experience. I use traditional materials as well as digital resources to capture movement and life through animation. Everything is captured in spontaneous movements of emotion to tell a story and I strive to tell stories of all kinds with the language of life.
